Most recently, BCA is selected as one of the winners in the 2021 Gartner Eye on Innovation Award. This award makes BCA the first bank in Indonesia to be included in the ranks of top companies in the Asia Pacific region in innovation and use of digital technology to provide comprehensive banking products and services.

RODEST or Integrated Robotic System for Automatic EDC Testing is one of the innovations that led BCA to receive this award," said Director of BCA Hendra Lembong.
RODEST is a unique innovation from BCA that integrates Collaborative Robot with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for EDC. This robot can perform human-like activities, such as swiping cards, selecting menus, and entering PIN. RODEST enables faster EDC testing, produces more accurate results, and compiles reports in real-time.
“RODEST existence has set groundbreaking standard for BCA future employees, with machines and artificial intelligence that help employees perform routine and simple tasks. This allows BCA employees to focus on improving quality, while providing a solid foundation for creating BCA digital banking innovations. RODEST has become the solution for us because it is able to simplify various tasks, for example a job that was previously done in five days, now finish in one day. Not only that, the existence of this innovation also saves up to USD 1 million in costs,” Director of BCA Lianawaty Suwono explained.
The 2021 Gartner Eye on Innovation Award for Financial Services is held annually to recognize companies and financial institutions for their utilization of innovative technology to drive best-in-class initiatives. This event brings together world-class innovators from Asia Pacific, the United States, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. On Wednesday (10/27) the finalists presented their innovations and the winners were selected through voting method by professionals in the financial industry through a virtual event. Coming out as the winner from 2021 Asia Pacific regional is Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company Of China, Ltd, as well as two other winners, BCA and China Construction Bank.

RODEST led BCA to become the winner at 2021 Gartner Eye on Innovation Award – RODEST (Innovating Integrated Robotic System for Automatic EDC Testing) is able to perform EDC machine testing faster, produce more accurate results, and compile reports in real-time.
