Bogor, 16 November 2024 – A total of 700 recipients of the Bakti BCA Scholarship (Beasiswa Bakti BCA), known as Bakti Champions, participated in the grand finale of the Bakti BCA Scholarship 2024 program at Aston Sentul Lake Resort & Conference Center, Bogor Regency, on Friday (15/11). This hybrid event concluded a series of coaching and development activities for all Bakti Champions throughout 2024.
The morning session of the Bakti BCA Scholarship 2024 grand finale featured an inspiring sharing session with BCA Director Lianawaty Suwono and Journalist and Founder of Narasi Najwa Shihab. The session covered various topics, including insights into the banking industry, self-development, and mental health. Also in attendance was BCA Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn.
Meanwhile, BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono who attended online said, “According to BPS data, nearly 10 million people aged 15-24 years, or Gen Z, are not in school, employed, or participating in training programs. This presents a significant challenge to achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. In response, the Bakti BCA Scholarship serves as a tangible effort to empower the younger generation, preparing them to actively contribute to Indonesia's future. Beyond providing tuition assistance, BCA also conducts a series of training and development programs throughout the year. These initiatives aim to equip students with essential skills, knowledge, and character, enabling them to become excellent professionals.”
The comprehensive training and development program for Bakti Champions includes the Transformational Workshop, Financial Talk, Company Visit, Business Impact Plan Competition, and National Bootcamp. For the National Bootcamp program, only 150 Bakti Champions participated, comprising 21 finalist groups from the Business Impact Plan Competition and 45 top individual participants. During the National Bootcamp, the Bakti Champions had the opportunity to delve deeper into various skills relevant to the professional world, including problem-solving, teamwork, character development, and career coaching.

The Bakti BCA Scholarship program not only provides financial support to outstanding students but also equips them to become exceptional young leaders ready to make meaningful contributions to society. The National Bootcamp for Bakti Champions was also highlighted by an inspiring presentation from Journalist and Founder of Narasi, Najwa Shihab. “In the midst of the changing dynamics of the world, the ability to adapt and think creatively is key to not falling behind. Education is the main path to progress, but learning doesn’t stop at college. It’s important for us to equip ourselves with knowledge beyond the academic space. Every individual has the same opportunity to grow and develop. Never limit yourself, make the most of every opportunity that comes your way in life,” said the figure known by the nickname Nana.
The event concluded with the recognition and awarding of several outstanding Bakti Champions. The BCA Bakti Scholarship program focuses on exceptional students, both in academic and non-academic fields, who are passionate about contributing to the nation’s development. By 2024, the Bakti BCA Scholarship program has supported over 7,500 talented students from across Indonesia, providing them with the skills and insights necessary to make contributions to nation-building.
As part of its ongoing commitment to improving the quality of education, Bakti BCA continues to lead various initiatives under the Bakti Pendidikan (education) pillar. These inclusive programs include Sekolah Bakti BCA, BCA Berbagi Ilmu, Disability Empowerment, Financial Literacy Education, the Bakti BCA Internship Program, the BCA Cash Management Academy (Teaching Factory), the Business and Banking Education Program, and the Information Technology Education Program.
