Jakarta, 17 November 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) emphasizes the importance of focusing on individual employee development , thus the company can become a dream workplace and achieve exponential business growth. During one of the sessions at the Indonesia Knowledge Forum (IKF) XIII 2024 titled Becoming The Dream Company to Work For, BCA shared its approach to creating an ideal work environment through talent, culture, and leadership development.
According to a LinkedIn study, 94 percent of employees tend to stay longer at a company if there is a learning and development program. Meanwhile, BCA Director Lianawaty Suwono said a company should be more than just a workplace. It should be a place where employees can grow and contribute.

Through our approach to building talent, culture and leadership, we believe this will be a strong foundation for achieving sustainable business growth. Throughout its 67 years of operation, BCA has always strived to be a dream company that not only offers promising career opportunities, but also well-being and holistic development of its employees. This commitment is carried out through three key approaches which is to building talent (build the people), fostering corporate culture (build the culture), and nurturing impactful leaders (build the leader).
Lianawaty analogizes the three elements as a plantation ecosystem: employees as superior seeds, corporate culture as soil, and leaders as gardeners. The people or employees are akin to quality seeds that need nurturing to grow and thrive. The culture or corporate culture serves as the soil on which the seeds grow. The leaders are like gardeners who ensure that each seed receives the care it needs to flourish
Lianawaty also underlined the importance of growing from within so that in the future employees are ready to take control of the company. BCA has always made efforts to create excellent leaders. According to Lianawaty, currently 97.8% of BCA's leaders are internally trained.

This process takes time and consistent coaching, but it is crucial to create an ideal work environment and achieve exponential and sustainable business growth,” she said.
BCA continues to provide in-person and online training facilities to support employees hone their skills to improve productivity. In addition, BCA also develops various programs or facilities aimed at supporting employee well-being. These efforts have earned BCA two prestigious awards at the HR Asia Award 2024, namely “HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia” and “HR Asia Most Caring Companies Award”.
