Solid Financial Performance in 2017, BCA Received the Best Retail Bank in Indonesia

Kuala Lumpur 22 March 2018 – Consistently maintaining customer confidence through the best quality products and services, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) had successfully delivered a solid financial performance in 2017. The success later garnered a number of both domestic and international prestigious recognitions. This time, maintained its title as the Best Retail Bank in Indonesia at The Asian Banker International Excellence in Retail Financial Service Awards 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Thursday (22/03).

Attending to receive the award was Director of BCA Henry Koenaifi with Executive Vice President of Commercial Business and SME of BCA Liston Nainggolan. Henry said that the award is dedicated to the customers who have motivated and inspired BCA to continue innovate. “BCA strives to improve the quality of its banking solution products and services with customer satisfaction, safety and convenience as our main priorities. The recognition as the best Retail Bank in Indonesia proves the commitment of BCA to always be by customer’s side while fulfilling various needs of its customers and providing ease of transactions,” said Henry.

The Asian Banker International Excellence in Retail Financial Service Awards 2018 is a prestigious award in Asia that appreciates a number of companies in the retail banking sector that have successfully developed quality performance, products, and services amid the increasingly competitive market share. In determining the award’s recipients, a thorough research has been conducted to evaluate the performance of the banks, covering several criteria including: solid financial performance, transparency and accountability, dominant market share, and reliable risk management. Based on the research, BCA has been considered a solid retail banking institution capable of demonstrating profitable, sustainable, and long-standing business, with customer satisfaction as its top priority.

Closing the year 2017, BCA successfully recorded a solid financial performance, with net profit growth of 13.1% reaching Rp23.3 trillion, compared to Rp 20.6 trillion in the previous year. The loan portfolio also increased by 12.4% to Rp468 trillion supported by growth in all segments. “BCA’s excellent performance in 2017 is certainly not without the participation of our customers who have entrusted BCA with their banking banking needs. Therefore, this award will be our motivation to continue to innovate and provide the best banking solution products and services to all its loyal customers,” Henry concluded.
