Jakarta and Yogyakarta, 20 August 2024 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through its Bakti BCA program, collaborates with Pasar Kangen for the ‘Gebyar BCA Merah Putih: Indonesia Banget!’ event, held from August 22-24, 2024, at the Plataran Trimurti outdoor area, Prambanan Temple, Yogyakarta. This collaboration with Pasar Kangen demonstrates #BuktiBaktiBCA's commitment to empowering local MSMEs while preserving Indonesia’s cultural heritage.

Pasar Kangen, an annual event in Yogyakarta since 2007, brings the warmth of tradition to life through Nusantara’s culinary delights and local handicrafts, all set in a nostalgic, old-fashioned atmosphere. The event aims to satisfy visitors’ longing for authentic Indonesian flavors. Alongside the diverse local dishes offerings from Pasar Kangen, this special celebration also features Bakti BCA-assisted MSMEs and BCA Bangga Lokal, showcasing their flagship products. No fewer than eight booths from Bakti BCA-assisted MSMEs will be present in the Prambanan area, including the Doesoen Kopi Sirap coffee truck, Wukirsari Village Wayang Tourism, Djoe Hoa soy sauce, products from Bakti BCA-assisted schools, and Wastra Bakti BCA, which presents a selection of Nusantara fabrics from Kampoeng Batik Gemah Sumilir and Sijunjung Tourism Village. The Bangga Lokal booth will highlight products from Agung Ngoro, Bakpiaku, Eddera, Getook, and Dagadu Djokdja.

BCA EVP of Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn expressed, ”The ‘Gebyar BCA Merah Putih: Indonesia Banget!’ is one of Bakti BCA’s initiatives to reignite pride and love for Indonesian culture. This event not only showcases the beauty of traditional arts but also introduces a number of dishes and craft heritage of the Nusantara. We believe that preserving the spirit of Indonesian culture requires a comprehensive effort involving various segments of society. To achieve this goal, we are collaborating with Pasar Kangen and inviting Bakti BCA’s supported MSMEs and BCA Bangga Lokal to participate, with the hope that local MSMEs can continue to grow and compete in both national and international markets.”
