BCA Named Most Valuable Brand for the Second Time

Jakarta, 10 August 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) was once again named the most valuable brand in Millward Brown Indonesia version on The BrandZTM Indonesian Top 50 Most Valuable Brands 2016. BCA topped the rank among brand-owned public company in Indonesia for the second time.

BCA President Jahja Setiaatmadja received the award in person in Jakarta, Wednesday (10/8). The event also showcased a CEO talk show with the theme "The Importance of Building Brands and How Brands Can Represent Indonesia on the Global Stage", where Jahja Setiaatmadja was invited as one of the speakers.

"We have carried out various intensively and effectively managed marketing activities to support BCA business development in 2015 and 2016, as well as to establish BCA as the top of mind choice for customers and the public. We are grateful that these efforts have once again placed BCA in first place on the 50 most valuable brands in Indonesia, based on the assessment of research consulting firm Millward Brown and Wira Pamungkas Pariwara," Jahja noted.

Millward Brown collected 50 brands with highest brand value in Indonesia through the BrandZTM Top 50 Most Valuable Brands Indonesian Election 2016. 50 companies were yielded based on research conducted by combining the financial value created by a brand and brand contribution. Based on the assessment results, BCA brand value reached USD 9.345 billion in 2016, bringing BCA closer to the Top 100 Most Valuable Brand in the World. Last year, the distance between BCA brand value to the Top 100 is USD 1.126 billion, and was reduced this year to USD 1.095 billion. Research results also showed that BCA has strong reputation in differentiation and innovation in the banking sector.

Having the highest brand value is a direct result of BCA’s positive performance. BCA maintained a solid position in 2015 up to the first half of 2016. "We consistently apply policies carefully geared towards maintaining credit quality and strong capital as well as managing healthy liquidity position. With solid financial positioning, BCA is able to provide support to its customers, and capture business opportunities to support sustainable growth," Jahja concluded.
