Jakarta, April 11, 2017 - Corresponding with the operation of Airport Trains Soekarno Hatta (KA Basoetta) this year, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is supporting the implementation of e-Ticketing by PT Railink as train operator by implementing Flazz BCA as a means of train ticket payment to serve passengers from and to Soekarno Hatta Airport.
The MoU signing ceremony between Railink and the Banks was attended by Railink President Director Heru Kuswanto, Railink Director of Finance Eri Dwi Prasetyo, Executive Vice President of BCA Mira Wibowo along with management of nine other banks at Jakarta Railway Center, Tuesday (11/04). Through the cooperation, Railink will use existing cards issued by the banks as a means of electronic payment transactions, one of which is Flazz BCA.
“The signing of this MoU is one of BCA’s commitments to support the development of a cashless society in Indonesia. By synergizing in the Airport Railway Ticketing System (ARTS) developed by Railink, we hope to provide added value for the public and our loyal customers through the ease of payment of Soekarno Hatta Airport Trains ticket by using Flazz, Debit BCA or BCA Credit Card,” said Mira.
Previously, BCA has also worked with Railink for the Medan - Kualanamu Airport Trains e-Ticketing, and this partnership has entered its fourth year. “We hope this KA Basoetta e-Ticketing cooperation can contribute to maintaining the benefits of Flazz as a means of payment in transportation business,” added Mira.
As of February 2017, the number of Flazz cards in circulation amounted to 10.1 million with average monthly transaction value standing at Rp 61 billion and the average monthly reload value is Rp 63 billion. “We hope this partnership can expand the user base of Flazz card and support the development of Flazz card business in the year of 2017. BCA will also continue multiplying the EDC and Flazz card reader machines to provide ease for customers and users during transaction using Flazz Card,” Mira concluded.
