Jakarta, 31 July 2018 – The government has intensified its efforts in developing various infrastructure projects throughout Indonesia, considering the importance of connectivity network across all regions. Understanding this, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) supports the government’s efforts to accelerate infrastructure development in Indonesia. BCA shows its support by disbursing a syndicated loan of Rp1.7 trillion to PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) for the construction of the Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Project.
Attending the signing of the syndicated loan agreement was Senior Executive Vice President of Corporate Banking Group Wira Chandra, Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance Group Susiana Santoso, Corporate Branch Head Dhejani Surjadi, Vice President of Corporate Banking Group Yayi Mustika Pudyanti, and President Director of PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek Djoko Dwijono and the management of the other participating syndicated banks in Jakarta, Tuesday (31/07).
In fulfilling the total financing of the 36.40 km Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated toll road project, BCA together with PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk act as the Joint Mandate Lead Arranger Bookrunners (JMLAB). BCA disburses a syndicated loan of Rp1.7 trillion of the total ceiling of Rp11.36 trillion.
The Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road is aimed at reducing traffic congestion along the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. The Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated toll road serves as an alternative road for road users who are heading towards Cikampek or Bandung. This toll road will also support the distribution of goods and services, going in and out of Jakarta from West Java and continuing from or to Central Java to East Java.
The Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road itself stretches along 36.40 km, from the Cikunir section to West Karawang (KM 9 to KM 48). The Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road is expected to be fully operational by March. Entering the end of July 2018, the progress for the said toll construction has reached 40.219%.
“BCA sees that the Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road has an important role for the community because it can help control traffic congestion at other sections. We hope that this step can make a positive contribution for the community, as well as support the acceleration of infrastructure development initiated by the Government,” said Wira.
Previously, BCA had disbursed syndicated loans to PT Marga Trans Nusantara (MTN) for the construction of the Kunciran–Serpong section on 20 July 2018. Not only that, on April 2018, BCA had also distributed syndicated loans to PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang (JSB) to develop the Semarang-Batang section of the North Java Toll Project.
“As of the first semester of 2018, BCA had disbursed infrastructure loans amounting to Rp24.7 trillion, the majority of which were distributed to road construction and electricity sector. Not only that, BCA will continue to support various infrastructure in line with the government’s efforts to provide connectivity networks throughout the country. BCA projects that the infrastructure loan distribution is to increase by 31% in 2018,” Wira concluded.
