Jakarta, 26 November 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is committed to supporting inclusivity and enhancing women's roles across various fields. One of the manifestations of this commitment is its collaboration with the Puteri Indonesia Foundation (YPI) for the Puteri Indonesia 2024 event. This partnership has once again achieved a historic milestone on the international stage. This year, Ketut Permata Juliastrid, fondly known as Tata, the winner of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2024, became the first Indonesian representative to be crowned Miss Cosmo International 2024.
To celebrate Tata's victory at the Miss Cosmo International 2024 event, BCA and YPI organized a special homecoming event on Monday (25/11). Titled “Press Conference on The Victory of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2024 at Miss Cosmo 2024,” the event was held at Hutan Kota by Plataran, with numerous stakeholders in attendance to express their appreciation for Tata's remarkable achievement.
Distinguished guests included PT Mustika Ratu Tbk President Director Bingar Egidius Situmorang, President Miss Cosmo Organization Tran Viet Bao Hoang, BCA Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn, and Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the Puteri Indonesia Foundation Putri Kus Wisnu Wardhani.

During the Puteri Indonesia 2024 event, BCA facilitated the skill-building of the 42 finalists by offering training sessions on financial literacy, the national economy, and banking, delivered by BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja. Additionally, the finalists were given the opportunity to tour BCA branch offices to observe banking operations firsthand, from transactions to customer service. BCA also frequently collaborates with the winner of Puteri Indonesia 2023 to promote various Bakti BCA programs, including Desa Bakti BCA (Bakti BCA-assisted Tourism Villages), BCA-supported MSMEs, and environmental conservation initiatives.

Miss Cosmo International is a global beauty event organized by UniCorp and UniMedia, with its inaugural edition held in 2024 in Vietnam. In this debut event, Tata not only secured the main title but also received the prestigious Beauty Icon Award, a special recognition for her exceptional charm and talent displayed throughout the competition. Her outstanding performance in presenting Indonesian arts and culture earned high praise from both the judges and the audience.
Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the Puteri Indonesia Foundation Putri Kus Wisnu Wardhani added, “This is a tremendous honor, not only for the Puteri Indonesia Foundation but also for the Indonesian nation. Winning the inaugural edition of an international event featuring representatives from 55 countries is an extraordinary achievement. All the candidates displayed exceptional quality, with minimal differences among them. This success demonstrates that Indonesian young women are capable of competing on a global stage and confidently showcasing their best potential.”
In addition to its support for Puteri Indonesia 2024, BCA also consistently supports women's empowerment across sectors. As one example, through the Bakti BCA program, the company has completed training in natural dye traditional fabric for more than 90 women weavers in South Central Timor, East Sumba, and Baduy. This training has resulted in the production of more than 200 natural dye woven fabrics that are not only environmentally friendly but also hold greater market value. Furthermore, to celebrate Kartini Day, BCA launched the #KaMUKartini Multipurpose Business Credit program. In the second quarter of 2024, this program offers credit with special interest rates starting at 3.21% p.a. for women entrepreneurs.
