Jakarta, 20 July 2018 – The infrastructure development is one of the key sectors that needs to be strengthened as it can improve the economy productivity and efficiency and drive sustainable economic growth. Recognizing this, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) disburses a syndicated loan of Rp735.9 billion to PT Marga Trans Nusantara (MTN) for the construction of the Kunciran – Serpong toll section.
Attending the signing of the toll road syndicated agreement was Executive Vice President of Group Corporate Banking of BCA Yuli Melati Suryaningrum, Executive Vice President of Group Corporate Finance of BCA Susiana Santoso, and Head of Corporate Branch Office Dhejani Surjadi, and President Director of PT Marga Trans Nusantara (MTN) Truly Nawangsari as well as the management of other participating banks in Jakarta, Friday (20/07).
In fulfilling the total financing of the 11.20 km Kunciran-Serpong section, BCA together with Bank Mandiri, BRI and BNI are acting as the Joint Mandate Lead Arranger Bookrunners (JMLAB). BCA disburses a syndicated loan of Rp735.9 billion fo the total ceiling of Rp3.3 trillion. The 11.20 km Kunciran – Serpong is part of the 263 km Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) 2 that connects densely populated areas such as Jakarta, Tangerang, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi. The toll network itself consists of the Cengkareng-Kunciran section, Kunciran-Serpong section, Serpong-Cinere section, Cinere-Jagorawi section, Depok-Antasari section, Cimanggis-Cibitung section, Cibitung-Cilincing section, and Tanjung Priok Access that connects Bandara Soekarno Hatta to Cibitung.
“We think that this is a great project to support, considering the effect on the business world, which is also a strategic road network that will pass through the development of new cities alongside the project,” said Yuli Melati. Previously, BCA has disbursed syndicated loans to PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang to develop the North Java toll project for the Batang-Semarang section last April 2018. Not only that, in December 2017, BCA also disbursed a syndicated loan to PT Hutama Karya to develop the Trans Sumatera Bakauheni–Terbanggi Besar toll road construction project.
“BCA’s loan portfolio in infrastructure amounted to Rp 24,7 trillion in June 2018, mostly disbursed to the power sector (PLN) and road construction. Going forward, BCA will certainly continue to support various infrastructure projects that will help accelerate Indonesia’s economy. Along with the government’s efforts to accelerate domestic development, BCA projects that syndicated loans will grow by 31% in 2018,” Yuli concluded.
