Jakarta, 02 May 2021 – As a form of concern for Indonesian education, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) reopens the BCA Scholarships program for academic year 2022. The company offers Business and Banking Education Program (PPBP) and Computer Science Education Program (PPTI) for SMA/SMK graduates across the country. PPBP is a scholarship program previously known as Accounting Education Program (PPA).
During the pandemic, the entire scholarship selection process was conducted online. The registration can be done via https://karir.bca.co.id/beasiswa-bca starting Monday, 3 May 2021. All applicants need to fill in their data, report cards and upload photos via the form available on the website, no more hard copy documents required for the registration.
The general eligibility requirements for the PPBP and PPTI scholarships are no older than 19 years old, having an average report card score of 7.50 and a minimum Mathematic score per semester (for SMA) or Productive score (for SMK) of 7.50; determination to study and accomplish, great adaptability, and like challenges.
“The PPBP and PPTI scholarships serve as a bridge for BCA to connect to young Indonesian talents. Every year, we constantly offer scholarship opportunities for the best SMA/SMK graduates throughout Indonesia. As science and technology develops, each generation has their own potential and uniqueness, so that BCA can continue to ensure that it contributes to developing their potential and abilities,” said Lianawaty Suwono, Director of BCA.
If the candidates pass the selection stage, they will attend a 30-month education at the BCA Learning Institute, Sentul, Bogor. The PPBP students will learn about business operations in the banking world, while the PPTI students will learn about banking technology. After graduating from the program, the students will get the opportunity to pursue career at BCA.
To support the education, students will also receive books, laptop (for the PPTI program), lunch, dormitory, and monthly stipend. Not only that, but students will also have the opportunity to develop themselves, including through various extracurricular activities as well as outings to help develop their values and soft skills.
BCA encourages young Indonesian talents to seize the opportunity to help build the country through the banking industry. Through educational programs that implement rigorous standards-based assessment, BCA hopes that PPBP and PPTI graduates become highly skilled individuals who greatly contribute to the banking industry in the future.
