Jakarta, 06 July 2020 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is back in the Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brand according to BrandZTM. BCA won the title due to its overall brand value’s growth, where it grew 11% from $13.437Bn in 2019 to $14.917Bn in 2020. With the same brand value, BCA ranked 90th at the Brand Global Top 100, moving up nine positions compared to last year’s rank. BCA has also made it to the BrandZTM Regional Banks Top 10, alongside nine other banks from China, the US, India and Canada.
Director of BCA Santoso said that BCA is always committed to prioritizing service excellence for customers. As of today, BCA has the privilege of serving 22 million accounts and processing millions of transactions every day through 1,252 branches and 17,607 ATMs as well as transactions made via BCA mobile and KlikBCA that can be accessed anytime and anywhere.
BCA is keeping pace with the massive development of digital technology by continuing to innovate and collaborate to improve digital banking services tailored to customers’ needs. As of March 2020, BCA’s digital banking services saw a significant growth in mobile banking transactions at 91% (YoY) or approximately 1.286 million transactions and internet banking 24% (YoY) or approximately 740 million transactions.
“This award is a reflection of BCA’s hard work as a financial institution that continues to provide value added to customers and Indonesia. This award also further strengthens BCA’s commitment to continue to be creative and innovative in fulfilling various financial transactions,” said Santoso.
BrandZTM Global Top 100 is held in recognition of companies with the most valuable global brands. The assessment is based on the objective and comprehensive BrandZTM brand valuation methodology. Using the same methodology, BrandZTM also generates other categories such as Top 50 Most Valuable Indonesian Brands and Top 10 Regional Bank. BrandZTM is a database brand equity managed by Millward Brown.
The BrandZTM survey result confirms that digital technology investments made by BCA for banking transactions have resulted in increased customer confidence. The various digital innovation implemented by BCA also strengthen its image as the leading bank of choice that is well-managed and honest.
