Jakarta, 11 October 2024 - For the first time, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is hosting a virtual run and fun walk competition “Runvestasi”, which will be held from December 8-22, 2024. Embracing the theme of ‘Wealth-Life Balance,’ the event aims to inspire customers and the public to achieve harmony between financial and physical health for a prosperous future.
BCA Director Haryanto Budiman expressed, “BCA firmly believes that financial literacy and inclusion are essential to achieving prosperity for the Indonesian people. To raise public awareness about the importance of preparing for the future through smart financial planning and balanced exercise habits, BCA is introducing an innovation that combines education and healthy lifestyles through a running and walking competition called ‘Runvestasi’. We have designed this competition to be held virtually, providing flexibility and convenience for the public to participate anytime and anywhere.”
In collaboration with the digital platform GERAK, Runvestasi 2024 utilizes a digital app to track participants’ distance during the race, while also offering a variety of challenges to be completed over the course of 15 days, including one focused on investment. Participants are free to choose their preferred outdoor routes, as the GERAK app will digitally record their distance, which can then be submitted in accordance with the guidelines available at bca.co.id/runvestasi. Through this program, participants are not only encouraged to stay active but also to make investment a part of their routine.
Unlike other virtual running competitions, Runvestasi 2024 allows participants to earn points not only through running and walking but also by completing investment and social media challenges via the GERAK app. A total of 2,500 prizes will be awarded to participants with the highest points, while 900 lucky finishers also have the chance to win exciting rewards. BCA has lined up various attractive prizes, including Travel Vouchers worth Rp25 million, iPhone 16, and many more, with a total prize pool valued at hundreds of millions of rupiah. Winners will be announced on January 17, 2025, via Instagram @gerak.now and the official website bca.co.id/runvestasi.
The registration period for Runvestasi 2024 will begin on October 11, 2024, and close on December 10, 2024. The entire series of activities is open to anyone who registers through the GERAK app.
