Officially Concluded, BCA Wealth Summit 2024 Successfully Attracts 2 Million Visitors

Jakarta, 3 October 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) Tbk has successfully completed the BCA Wealth Summit 2024, held in a hybrid format (both online and offline). More than 2,000 customers attended the offline session, which took place on September 4-5, 2024. The total number of visitors to BCA Wealth Summit 2024 reached more than 2 million by the end of the online event on September 20, 2024.

BCA Director Haryanto T. Budiman said, “We are grateful to the visitors and all parties involved, especially BCA customers, who are an inseparable part of the BCA Wealth Summit 2024. This year's summit was made special by the presence of national and international experts who provided valuable insights on global and domestic economic conditions, the latest information from the industry, and tips on managing finances as well as maintaining physical and mental health. BCA was honored to have Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, present at Wealth Summit 2024 to share her insights on 'Lessons Learned from Indonesia's Fiscal Reform Over the Last 8 Years'.”

The large number of visitors to the BCA Wealth Summit 2024 signifies the high enthusiasm of the public for the need for wealth management to achieve sustainable financial prosperity. At this year's online BCA Wealth Summit 2024, BCA presented themes surrounding financial planning tailored to different life stages that are relevant to the conditions faced by Gen Z, including “Characteristics of People Who Struggle to Become Wealthy,” “Three Causes of KanKer (Kantong Kering or Financial Strain),” “Retirement with a Steady Income,” and “Spending Money Wisely.” These topics reflect BCA's commitment to supporting financial inclusion for the broader community.

“The high enthusiasm at the BCA Wealth Summit 2024 reinforces our commitment to continually enhance our services and provide a variety of wealth management products to meet the dynamic needs of our customers in managing their finances,” said Haryanto.

This is proven by the performance of the wealth management business at BCA which has recorded a positive trend as of July 2024, total transactions via Welma on myBCA increased by 31% on an annual basis (YoY). In addition, the growth of total Assets Under Management (AUM) of BCA's mutual funds & bonds reached more than 42% YoY as of July 2024. The AUM value of mutual funds and bonds reached more than Rp240 trillion.

“The success of Wealth Summit 2024 will motivate us to continually provide literacy, investment, and protection solutions tailored to customer needs, both in our branches and through digital channels, including the Welma and Protection menus in the myBCA application,” concluded Haryanto T. Budiman.
