Transactions Exceed IDR17 Billion, BCA UMKM Fest 2024 Concludes: Successfully Expanding Cross-Sector Businesses

 

Jakarta, 26 September 2024 – BCA UMKM Fest 2024 officially concluded on Thursday (12/9) after being held offline from August 7–11, 2024, and online from August 12–September 12, 2024. In its fourth year, the value and frequency of transactions at UMKM Fest 2024 grew along with the positive public response to products from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The success of this event serves as clear evidence of BCA's strong commitment to supporting MSME growth as one of the key pillars of Indonesia's economy.

During the 5-day offline event at Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta, BCA has recorded total sales of IDR 3.95 billion at UMKM Fest 2024, marking a 24% year-on-year increase, with 18,841 transactions, 39% growth compared to the previous year. UMKM Fest online has recorded the transaction value of IDR 13.14 billion, with more than 68,000 transactions.

BCA Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn said, "The extraordinary enthusiasm of visitors at BCA UMKM Fest 2024, coupled with various promotions from BCA, has driven the number of transactions beyond expectations. This achievement is clear proof of the strong appeal of local products and the great potential of MSMEs to compete in the market. We must maintain consumers' trust in the quality and variety of products offered by MSMEs, which will continue to drive growth."

There are three categories of products that were the most popular among visitors at UMKM Fest 2024, namely food and beverages, health and beauty, and fashion. During the offline event, QRIS became the preferred payment method used by visitors, with its usage frequency reaching 62% of total transactions.

Overall, BCA UMKM Fest 2024 was enlivened by 1,753 tenants, representing MSMEs and local product entrepreneurs under the BCA Bangga Lokal initiative. The event was also held at 49 BCA’s Main Branch Offices (KCU) across various regions. BCA also featured a special Bakti BCA booth offering various products from villages fostered by the corporation in different areas.

For the BCA UMKM Fest 2024 online, BCA partnered with Grab Indonesia to promote culinary products, and Blibli.com as a partner for selling fashion, health, beauty, and other products. This collaboration aims to further expand the market for MSMEs and encourage them to utilize technology while increasing product visibility.

BCA UMKM Fest is one of the many programs initiated by the company to support the development. As of June 2024, BCA has disbursed loans to the MSME sector amounting to IDR 121 trillion, with a growth rate of 10.3% year-on-year. BCA believes with the right support, MSMEs can continue to grow and remain competitive, while actively participating in building an inclusive and sustainable economy.

Meanwhile, the online event achieved a transaction value of IDR 13.14 billion, with the number of transactions reaching over 68,000.
