Appreciation for Partners, BCA Brings 70 Merchants to Experience the Beauty of the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village

Lombok, 16 July 2024 – In line with its commitment to strengthening relationships and supporting the business of merchants, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) organized a "Merchant Gathering" in the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village, Lombok, on Saturday (13/7). Attended by 70 merchants, this event aimed to serve as a forum to gather merchant aspirations and introduce BCA financial solutions that can enhance operational efficiency for the merchants.

Head of BCA Cakranegara KCU Indrawanto Sahama stated, "BCA is committed to supporting the revenue growth of merchants through BCA innovative products. By organizing this gathering, we hope to create a valuable forum, including sharing ideas and listening to feedback from the merchants. We strive to continuously provide solutions for the diverse needs of our merchants."

Throughout this event, merchants received education about the Merchant BCA application. This application is a digital solution to empower businesses of various scales, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Some of the standout features in Merchant BCA include the “Merchant Care” service, User Management, Real-time Transaction Notifications, and EDC or Static QRIS application. Through the Merchant BCA application, merchants can easily monitor store transactions, quickly obtain data for analysis, and identify peak hours and popular QRIS payment trends in their stores.

Beside that, merchants were also educated about Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) for multi-currency payments, as well as other products such as consumer credit, payroll features, and Klik BCA.

This "Merchant Gathering" also serves as an opportunity to introduce the natural beauty of the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village to the merchants. This village is one of Bakti BCA's fostered villages located in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Known for its refreshing rural natural charm, Bilebante offers various ecotourism activities that participants can enjoy.

There are two development program initiatives carried out by Bakti BCA in the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village, namely enhancing tourism appeal and food security through the living food barn. This "Merchant Gathering" showcases the results of these programs, including outbound packages with games that present the Bilebante's unique arts and culture, exploring organic herbal gardens, trekking trails with views of green rice fields, accompanied by cidomo(a small horse-drawn carriage), and enjoy dishes from the food barn.

Due to the active participation of various parties in tourism management, the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village won the Best Tourism Village award from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in 2023. Continuous efforts in promoting community-based ecotourism have elevated the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village to the international stage, making it an inspirational example for other villages in Indonesia.

"This event is expected to bring benefits in improving services and products for merchants, including opening collaboration opportunities between the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village and merchants. Considering the vast tourism potential, there are also significant opportunities to develop local businesses that can be mutually beneficial," concluded Indrawanto.
