Jakarta, 25 April 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) reaffirms its commitment to providing social impact to the community through various sustainable development programs that can have an impact both now and in the years to come, by launching the #BuktiBaktiBCA campaign. #BuktiBaktiBCA campaign launch was marked by the premiere of the Bukti Bakti video, which was filmed on three different islands and involved community leaders of Bakti BCA partners, and the introduction of Bakti BCA Brand Ambassador, Nicholas Saputra.

The appointment of Bakti BCA's Brand Ambassador, which coincides with #BuktiBaktiBCA campaign launch, is part of the company's educational strategy to increase awareness and involvement of many parties in creating positive social impact. Nicholas Saputra has long been known as a celebrity who actively voices his concern for social and environmental issues. As Bakti BCA's Brand Ambassador, Nicholas Saputra will be involved in various Bakti BCA social activities in various aspects of life, ranging from education, health, cultural preservation, individual, and group empowerment, to the environment.

Bakti Pendidikan
BCA contributes to achieving quality development goals in the field of education to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia's human resources through various programs, such as mentoring 20 Bakti BCA Schools, teacher training in Eastern Indonesia, support for digital economy through SYNRGY Accelerator & Academy, Business and Banking Education Program (PPBP), and Information Technology Education Program (PPTI), vocational programs through BCA Cash Management Academy, and the competency development for people with disabilities. Since 2009, BCA through Bakti Pendidikan has regularly provided scholarships and training to outstanding students in Indonesia. Until now, Bakti BCA has provided scholarships for more than 7,000 undergraduate students.
Bakti Kesehatan
BCA supports human quality empowerment for those in need through various health programs. The company is one of the funding partners with support reaching US$1 million in the program to reduce the stunting rate from BKKBN and USAID called PASTI (Partnership to Accelerate Stunting Reduction in Indonesia). From 2014 to the end of 2023, a total of 149,460 patients have received fee waivers for general medical treatment and family planning services at two BCA-supported clinics. A total of 8,131 eyes have been restored after undergoing cataract surgery through BCA's social service, and 11,936 bags of blood have been collected by BCA from blood donation activities with PMI from 2016 to 2023.
Bakti Budaya
BCA is committed to preserving diverse arts, cultures, and traditions of the archipelago through organizing performances and developing various potentials in programs such as Wayang for Students, Nusantara Academic Writing Award (NAWA), Satu dalam Cita “Sudamala”, Jazz Gunung Showcase, and support for other cultural activities. BCA has also been collaborating with local art activists and artists since 2012. In 2023, there was a showcase by talented students from wayang drama schools titled "Hanoman: What's Up with Shinta" and an exhibition of comic strips created by young comic artists supported by Marvel & DC Comics. BCA received The Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) award as the "Company with the Most Wayang Preservation Activities" for this consistency.
To preserve the archipelago's traditional cloth and the environment, since 2022, BCA together with the Indonesia Natural Dyes Association (WARLAMI), has been conducting natural dyeing training for hand-woven groups and traditional textile enthusiasts in South Central Timor and Baduy, resulting in environmentally friendly and high-value textile works.
Desa Bakti BCA
Since 2012, BCA has provided various services and special programs to develop the potential of human resources in various villages, including financial assistance, training, facilitating access to banking services for communities, and providing facilities for local economic development. By the end of 2023, BCA provided coaching to 26 tourist villages,including 14 foster villages and 12 collaborative partner villages with Bakti BCA and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in the Indonesia Tourism Village Award (ADWI) program for 2022-2023. Several Bakti BCA villages have received various national and international awards. Recently, Taro Tourism Village and Green Bilebante Tourism Village received the Best Tourism Village award in the Update Programme category from the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) in 2023.
A total of 403 part-time and full-time workers in 14 foster villages have been employed, and more than 1,500 business actors have participated in halal certification, export training, and expanding market access through onboarding on various marketplaces. Throughout 2023, the total revenue of BCA fostered tourist villages reached Rp8.4 billion, growing by 108.7% annually. BCA provides convenience for booking tourist package tickets for fostered Tourism Villages through the "Lifestyle" feature in the BCA mobile app.
Bakti Lingkungan
BCA is committed to supporting the government in environmental conservation to create a better and more sustainable life through various programs, such as orangutan rehabilitation & release, turtle conservation, leopard conservation, and tree planting. Besides ecological impacts, these programs also provide economic impacts to the community, one of which is through job opportunities in conservation areas and tree planting. Additionally, Bakti BCA also takes initiative in waste management by providing Bakti BCA recycling machines and compost house construction.
