Jakarta, 28 March 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is committed to improving the quality of education in the country to enhance human resources quality, one of which is through the implementation of the Bakti BCA 2024 Scholarship program. Carrying the theme "Every Champion is Unique. The Champion is You!", the opening of the Bakti BCA 2024 Scholarship program was attended by 700 students from 20 universities in Indonesia and was conducted in a hybrid format, taking place through both online broadcasts and simultaneously at several locations of BCA Regional Offices (Kanwil), BCA Main Branch Offices (KCU), and universities in Indonesia.
Bakti BCA 2024 Scholarship Ceremony was officially inaugurated virtually by BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja, BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono, and BCA EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn on Monday (25/03).
BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja said, "The Bakti BCA Scholarship program derived from BCA's commitment to encourage excellent individuals to reach their full potential so that they can become pillars for Indonesia's future development. To fellow Bakti Champions, the recipients of the Bakti BCA Scholarship, absorb as much knowledge as possible as a foundation for the journey ahead."
The Bakti BCA Scholarship is one of the flagship programs under Bakti Pendidikan. Bakti 2024 Scholarship recipients are entitled to benefits in the form of education funds (allowance and tuition support) and self-development programs for a year. Scholarship recipients will receive financial planning, business impact plans, and have the opportunity to attend boot camps and visit BCA offices. The program is expected to be beneficial not only for the recipients but also for the environment and the community. In addition, this program is expected to shape #BaktiChampions into #GenerasiPastiBisa (#CanDoGeneration).
BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono added, "The Bakti BCA Scholarship Program is not just financial support, but also a manifestation of our determination to advance education in Indonesia. High-achieving students can develop their potential optimally and receive comprehensive training and mentoring. This program is also part of BCA's efforts to support the Government's target in pursuing the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045. The future generation of Indonesians is expected to be not only productive but also to become leaders and contribute to improving the Indonesian economy."
Since 2009 until now, the Company through Bakti BCA has regularly provided scholarships and training to outstanding students in Indonesia. Up until now, Bakti BCA has provided scholarships for more than 7,000 undergraduate students.
In addition to providing scholarships, BCA also has other notable programs in the field of education, which are Sekolah Bakti BCA, BCA Berbagi Ilmu, Edukasi Literasi Keuangan, Bakti BCA Internship Program, Business Banking Education Program, and Information Technology Education Program. These programs are a clear realization of BCA's commitment to continue contributing to the development of education in Indonesia.
