Jakarta, March 1, 2024 – Mortgage (KPR) disbursement by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) throughout 2023 was on a positive trend, showing outstanding growth by 11.7% on an annual basis (YoY) to Rp121.8 trillion as of December 2023. This trend is believed to continue in 2024, partly due to the emergence of new families looking for housing.
BCA EVP of Consumer Loan Welly Yandoko is optimistic that the expected growth in mortgages can be achieved. According to Welly, one of the pillars of mortgage growth is events that attract large numbers of people, such as BCA Expoversary 2024. At BCA Expoversary 2024, BCA offers a special mortgage interest rate of 2.67% eff.p.a. fixed for 1 year.
“We offer attractive interest rates for customers and are available at BCA Expoversary 2024. Hopefully, what we have planned can generate positive results, and can meet the public’s need to acquire housing,” said BCA EVP of Consumer Loans Welly Yandoko at BCA Expoversary 2024 on Thursday (29/2).
BCA Expo has proven to be one of the pillars of the bank’s mortgage growth. At both BCA Expo and BCA Expoversary 2023, there was a significant increase in new mortgage bookings.
“It is clear that new business and booking are increasing yearly. We saw that in 2022 our new booking was Rp38 trillion, and in 2023 it immediately jumped to Rp41 trillion. We have conducted various studies and are quite optimistic about business growth in 2024, especially mortgages,” said Welly.
Welly stated that the potential growth in mortgage disbursement this year will be supported by the large number of new families who have the potential to become debtors. According to BPS-Statistics Indonesia, there are nearly 800,000 new families who are potential markets for mortgage disbursement every year.
“Property or housing demand is still quite high. We see that every year there is always the emergence of new families, well, first home buyers. Of course, they need new housing. Based on our assessment and supported by the increasingly conducive domestic conditions after the democratic party, and also the declaration that economic growth is still stable in the range of 5%, we view it very positively,” he said.
