Lombok, July 2, 2023 - Desa Wisata Hijau Bilebante is emerging as a new attraction for both domestic and foreign tourists. The village offers unique characteristics and advantages that entice travelers to reconnect with nature. These distinctive features need to be consistently managed through various approaches, including exploring local traditions and culture, developing existing natural resources, and utilizing technology.
Inspired by this spirit, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) organized the "Train the Trainer: Local Fun Games Outbound" for all the Management of Green Bilebante Tourism Village. The event was inaugurated by the Head of BCA Cakranegara Branch, Indrawanto Sahama, and the Head of Bilebante Village, Rakyatulliwauddin. The objective of this training is to equip the tourism village management with the necessary capacity and skills to organize outbound tour packages, which is a new tourism offering soon to be launched in Desa Wisata Hijau Bilebante.
As additional information, outbound activities are based on the consideration that outbound is one of the most requested tour packages by visitors. Moreover, Bilebante Village has ample areas that can be utilized for outbound activities and has young and agile tour guides who have the potential to lead outbound activities. However, the village management lacks the competence and experience to organize outbound activities. Therefore, the Train the Trainer program became an essential factor in ensuring the success of the outbound tour package implementation in Desa Wisata Hijau Bilebante.
"BCA remains committed to realizing a sustainable vision in every tangible action of the company as part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of our commitments is to support the management of tourism villages as new tourist destinations in the country. With the introduction of the outbound tour package, I hope it will diversify the range of tour packages inDesa Wisata Hijau Bilebante and serve as an alternative income source for the village," stated Indrawanto Sahama.
The distinguishing factor of the outbound activities in Desa Wisata Hijau Bilebante compared to other places is the selection of games that represent the unique arts and culture of Bilebante Village. This allows visitors to not only engage in fun activities but also get to know the local arts and culture. This initiative aligns with BCA's Corporate Social Responsibility program under the Bakti BCA umbrella, which consistently supports the preservation of traditions, arts, culture, and positive values of the Indonesian nation.
Rakyatulliwauddin expresses heartfelt gratitude for BCA's continuous support towards the development of Desa Wisata Hijau Bilebante. "From the beginning, BCA has consistently provided various relevant training programs to meet the needs of the local community in managing the tourism village. As we gather here today, I firmly believe that the character of Bilebante Village, including its village management, holds great potential to organize outbound activities. With this training, I hope that the outbound activities can be conducted in an appealing and safe manner, attracting more tourists to our beloved village."
Previously, Desa Wisata Hijau Bilebante has offered various attractive tour packages, such as cycling and ATV rides through the rice fields, Bilebante-style spa massages by the rice fields, homestays, and cooking classes in the plantation ambiance of Pasar Pancingan. Additionally, from the local MSMEs, Desa Wisata Hijau Bilebante offers around 17 culinary products consisting of dishes like Ayam Merangkat, seaweed meatballs, various types of chips, plecing, and more.
In a separate occasion, EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility of BCA, Hera F. Haryn, stated that the "Train the Trainer: Local Fun Games Outbound" program is carried out to ensure that exposed tourism villages continually enhance their capacity and capability to become destinations that provide sustainable economic value for the local communities and regions. "We have directly witnessed the impact of the support provided by the company to the tourism villages in Bilebante. Similar to other villages under the Bakti BCA program, the direct impact of our assistance is ensuring the competitiveness and sustainability of tourism village management. Through this program, BCA also supports the government's #DiIndonesiaAja Proud of Tourism campaign."
Moving forward, the "Train the Trainer: Local Fun Games Outbound" program will also be supplemented by Bakti BCA's mentoring process, which includes conducting live trials of outbound guides in front of visitors. These trials will encompass content refreshment, tryouts, evaluations, and feedback, aiming to measure and enhance the readiness of the outbound guides in carrying out their duties.
