Improving HR Capacity, BCA Launches BCA Learning Institute and BCA Gallery

Bogor, 23 January 2017 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) believes that corporate development is inevitably attributed to the roles that its employees play, and employees who continuously improve their capacity and contribution will strengthen the company’s growth. With this conviction, BCA is committed to continuously do the best to improve the capacity of its employees, one of which through the establishment of a fully-equipped and convenient learning facility, BCA Learning Institute.

Attending the inauguration of BCA Learning Institute in Sentul, Bogor, on 23 January 2017 were President Director of BCA, Jahja Setiaatmadja, board of commissioners, and directors of BCA. “Quality individuals are those who possess the characteristics of someone honest, sincere, open-minded, wise, helpful, willing to collaborate, willing and able to contribute, and knowledgeable. Therefore, to achieve these qualities, everyone has the responsibility to keep developing their knowledge and never stop learning since the very young age, for as long as you live. As employees, your lifelong learning will go on from the moment you join the company and as long as you work for the company,” said Jahja.

In this regard, BCA continuously supports the growth of learning culture within the company, one of which through the establishment of BCA Learning Institute. BCA Learning Institute is designed to make learning fun and easy. Located in the lush area of Sentul, learning activities are expected to provide optimum environment where trainees will have better focus and motivation to study. The supporting environment is also expected to support everyone involved, from trainees to trainers and BLI employees, to become more creative.

Inside the BCA Learning Institute compound, you will find Galeri BCA, an exhibition area displaying information related to the history of BCA from the beginning of its establishment up until today. Numerous events have taken place, built and developed to make BCA the company that it is today. Our generation – today and in the future – could definitely learn about the many good and positive things that BCA has achieved so far.

Jahja continued, as the saying goes ‘A great nation is a nation that values its history’. It wouldn’t be too much to interpret this and say that ‘A great company is a company that values its history’. Hopefully this gallery will become BCA’s ‘mini museum’ that gives its employees – current and new – an insight into the journey and all things that took place in the past. “This inauguration of BCA Learning Institute and Galeri BCA is expected to facilitate BCA’s efforts in becoming the leader in Research and Development (R&D) and fostering its future employees’ motivation to be aware of the huge responsibilities that they will have in developing an even better BCA than their predecessors,” said Jahja in closing his remarks.
