Surabaya, 27 November 2019 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is always committed to supporting the improvement of the quality of human resources. BCA implemented its commitment through a public lecture titled “Entering the World of Work 4.0 with Success”, which was given to 300 students Sepuluh Nopember Insitute of Technology (ITS).
The lecture was opened by the Head of BCA Regional Office III Frengky Chandra Kusuma and presented Deputy President Director of BCA Armand W Hartono and President of IESPL Giring Ganesha as keynote speakers. Also attending the event was Executive Vice President of CSR of BCA Inge Setiawati and Vice Rector II of ITS Mas Agus Mardyanto in Surabaya, Wednesday (27/11).
Deputy President Director of BCA Armand Wahyudi Hartono attended the event to talk about “Welcome Industry4.0” and shared his experience about how technology can meet almost all the needs of diverse communities, such as transportation, culinary, shopping, shipping, and banking. For this reason, BCA always strives to keep abreast of the latest technological developments that are aligned with evolving customer needs. This includes a variety of appropriate solutions through digital applications, Sakuku, Virtual Assistant Chat Banking(VIRA), Application Program Interface(API), and e-Branch.
Furthermore, BCA also continuously introduces innovations on its mobile banking application,the BCA mobile. BCA’s customers can enjoy the latest features such as BCA Keyboard, QRku, Open A New Online Account, and latest cardless feature. In terms of customer service , BCA is also committed to be digitally present through the Bank BCA’s WhatsApp feature, where customers can contact Halo BCA through WhatsApp chatting app. “We present all these features to further increase comfort and security when conducting financial transactions for our loyal customers,” explained Armand.
Armand added that BCA also realized that technological innovations that we created juga are made and built by the best people in their fields. In terms of innovation, creativity and technicality, all come together to understand and accommodate customers’ changing needs. “That’s why I am calling for all young generations, including those of ITS, to develop and hone their skills, because the future of our nation lies on the hands of youth generation. Inspirations, ideas, and creations shall come from our next generation,” added Armand.
In 2019, BCA has also held public lectures at other universities including University of Indonesia, Brawijaya University, Muhammadiyah Malang University, Padjajaran University, and Petra Surabaya Christian University a while ago.
Furthermore, on the same occasion, BCA also handed over a Rp250 million Bakti BCA scholarship fund to 30 select accomplished students of i ITS. In 2019, BCA provides a scholarship funds totalling Rp5.35 billion channelled to 18 state universities. Not only the material support that the Bank BCA provided, students are also equipped with a set of soft skills that are needed in pursuing higher education and to prepare them prior to entering the workforce.
