Jakarta, 14 July 2021 –The banking industry is one of the pillars of economic growth and national stability in improving people's living standards. Therefore, in the midst of the challenging COVID-19 pandemic situation, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is committed to supporting the Government in accelerating the vaccination program in Indonesia. This time, BCA is one of the banks implementing a mass vaccination program for Indonesia, supported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
The vaccination program entitled “Gerakan Peduli Insan Perbankan” was carried out in several cities together with four other banks, including Mandiri Bank, BRI Bank, BNI Bank, and CIMB Niaga Bank with a total target of 144.473 participants throughout Indonesia.
This vaccination program by BCA targets approximately 34,650 participants from the general public, customers, employees, and families of Bank employees in several cities in Indonesia.
As is known, the financial industry is one of the essential industrial sectors that continues to operate during this pandemic period by always implementing strict health protocols in accordance with the procedures and provisions set by the government and the world health agency WHO. Therefore, banks need to ensure that their employees have received vaccinations so that they can optimally provide services to customers and the public.
President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja said, BCA is grateful to be able to participate in this banking vaccination program. Previously, BCA had carried out vaccinations both through government programs and mutual assistance programs for employees, employees' families and the general public. Until now, BCA has implemented vaccination programs for more than 40.000 participants throughout Indonesia. This of course cannot be separated from our commitment to fully support the Government's efforts in accelerating the vaccination process in Indonesia.
"This vaccination program is also a form of company responsibility to employees and their families who have been in the risk zone since they have to ensure that services for banking transaction needs to the community must still be carried out," Jahja added.
BCA also urges the public to continue to apply strict health protocols in accordance with the provisions set by WHO and the government, namely 5M; Wearing a mask, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility.
In the midst of the implementation of emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) as a policy of the Government of Indonesia to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, BCA as a banking institution continues to strive to provide optimal services through digital banking to customers throughout the country.
On July 2, 2021, the daily transfer limit of KlikBCA Individuals was increased to IDR 500 million per day per user ID. In addition, the transfer limit has been increased to IDR 300 million per day from myBCA. This daily transaction limit increase will apply from July 2 to August 2, 2021. "In the midst of the current pandemic situation, we also understand the needs of customers who have to work from home, of course, they need simpler mobility. The increase in the daily transfer limit is expected to help customers' productivity in conducting banking transactions," said Jahja.
BCA also supports the efforts made by Bank Indonesia (BI), namely increasing the nominal daily cash withdrawal limit at ATMs and Deposits Withdrawals ATMs in order to implement the PPKM policy. The new daily cash withdrawal limit has been effective at all BCA ATMs starting Monday 12 July 2021 and is expected to provide added value to customers while supporting #BankingFromHome.
