Jakarta, June 22, 2021 – Indonesia Eximbank (LPEI) has once received funding support from domestic banks. The funding is supported by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BCA) in the form of a time loan facility of IDR 3 trillion with a 2-year tenor.
The facility consists of a non-revolving time loan 1 of IDR 1.5 trillion and non-revolving time loan 2 of IDR 500 billion with a 2-year tenor and an additional non-revolving time loan 3 of IDR 1 trillion with a 2-year tenor. This funding support is expected to strengthen LPEI's business strategy in implementing the law instruction to accelerate export.
The signing event was conducted virtually by Managing Director III of LPEI Agus Windiarto, Managing Director I of LPEI Dikdik Yustandi, Director of BCA Subur Tan, Director of BCA Rudy Susanto, and witnessed by Executive Director of LPEI D. James Rompas and President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja, on Tuesday (6/22).
The Executive Director of LPEI, D. James Rompas said that the funding from BCA will be used to support LPEI’s funding provision and business activities such as financing, guarantee and insurance.
“In order to accelerate economic growth, LPEI continues to cooperate with domestic banks. The signing of this cooperation also shows that LPEI as a Special Mission Vehicle (SMV) under the Ministry of Finance continues to gain the full trust and support from domestic financial institutions to implement the law instruction in order to encourage national export performance," said D. James Rompas.
President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja welcomes the extension of this collaboration. “The cooperation that has existed since 2016 between BCA and LPEI is a special opportunity. Throughout the journey, we observed that there are positive impacts. Today, BCA continues their collaboration by providing an additional time loan facility of IDR 1 trillion. We both hope that this facility can support national export growth and accelerate the National Economic Recovery program," said Jahja.
LPEI and BCA funding cooperation is expected to help accelerate national export growth through the distribution of financing, guarantees and insurance to export-oriented businesses. It is believed funding support from BCA will provide space for LPEI to distribute financing better to domestic entrepreneurs amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
