Attending the Hackathon Day - BCA Young HackR was Deputy President Director of BCA Suwignyo Budiman, Director of BCA Lianawaty Suwono, and Executive Vice President of Human Capital Management of BCA Hendra Tanumihardja at BCA Learning Institute, Sentul, Sunday (09/02).
BCA Young HackR is a hackathon competition where developers, designers, business analysts, IT enthusiasts, and young Indonesians are involved in creating creative and innovative technological solutions that can improve the performance of BCA’s Human Resource Department. On this occasion, BCA offers a total purse of Rp75 million, gadgets, and an opportunity to work at BCA for select potential participants.
Lianawaty said that, at BCA, human resources must embrace technology in order to provide the best service to the customers. The event is expected to encourage various creative ideas from young Indonesians that can enable the development of quality HR. These innovations are also expected to be implemented or become a source of innovation for human capital in Indonesia.
The series of BCA Young HackR event have been started since November 2019. Each team submitted their ideas for HR transformation for preliminary selection process, where contestants who passed the initial round will advance to the final, the Hackathon Day, on 8 – 9 February 2020. In preparation for the Hackathon Day, the finalists will attend Training dan Warming Up Day (30 – 31 January 2020) programs, run by BCA leaders and practitioners. Out of the 54 teams at the initial stage, the Jury will select 10 best teams to present their prototypes. The event has generated a lot of enthusiasm among young Indonesians to actively participate in fostering the growth of HR.
“The BCA Young HackR is expected to become the right and appropriate forum to encourage young Indonesians to be courageous in the exploration for creative and outstanding ideas. The program will also be able to contribute to the advancement of HR that offers better solutions, practicality, and adaptability needed in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Congratulations to the winners! All we hope that the passion and talents do not end here at the BCA Young Hackr, but it will be applied in other fields,” concluded Hendra Tanumihardja.
