Yogyakarta, 15 January 2021 – In order to encourage the continued birth of new qualified digital talents in Indonesia, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) presents the SYNRGY Academy once again on Friday (8/1). In the second batch, the scholarship on digital skills for Indonesian public will be conducted online as a form of response to the current pandemic conditions.
Registration for the SYNRGY Academy Batch 2 was held online last year and had officially been closed on 15 December 2020. Previously, BCA had produced 36 work-ready digital talents through SYNRGY Academy Batch 1.
“BCA gives scholarships to select students who passed a rigorous selection process. The students will then be equipped with technical knowledge & interpersonal skills to become an industry ready professional who excels in both hard and soft skills needed to land a job. In addition, the program also welcome students who have graduated from the SYNRGY Academy and are work-ready with employment opportunities at BCA Group and other companies in the Binar Academy network,” said Adi Prasetyo Susilo, Senior Vice President of Digital Innovation Solutions of BCA.
SYNRGY Academy has selected 64 students from over 700 applicants, who will join an intensive online bootcamp for six months. The lessons will be broken down into five specializations; Android Engineering, Backend Engineering, Frontend Engineering, QA Engineering, and UI/UX Design. These specializations employs a curriculum that focuses on project-based learning. This learning model is expected to equip students with technical knowledge & teamwork skills to become an industry ready professional.
The participants of the SYNRGY Academy batch 2 will also get additional classes through an one-on-one mentoring session and dan soft skill workshop from experts in various fields.
“Through the SYNRGY Academy, BCA wants to give full opportunity to the Indonesian people who wish to work in the IT industry. The hope is that the learning model can help foster intrapersonal skills among the students so that they can become Indonesia’s future top digital talents,” concluded Adi Prasetyo.
