Helping Handling Covid-19, BCA Distributes Aid to Medical Personnel in Makassar

Makassar, 14 May 2020 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is always committed to continuing to support the government, the medical teams, and the community in effort of mitigating the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. BCA realizes its commitment by donating medical equipments to a number of independent institutions and the affected community. This time, BCA, through the Bakti BCA, provided aid for frontline responders of the Covid-19 mitigation in Makassar.

These personal protective equipments include N95 masks, surgical masks, gloves, coverall and surgical gowns, directly submitted by the Head of BCA KCU Makassar Tony Djajasaputra to the Director of Finance of Jaury Jusuf Putera Academic Hospital Siskawati and Head of ICU dr. Irwan in Makassar, Monday (11/05). Jaury Jusuf Putera Academic Hospital is one of referral hospitals for Covid-19 patients in Makassar.

“We believe that every small step taken in order to support the handling and suppression of Covid-19 growth rate can have a major impact if it is carried out in an integrated and consistent manner. Various parties continue to work together to help the government and the medical team as the frontline responder in dealing with Covid-19. As one of the financial institutions in Indonesia, BCA is also striving to mobilize assistance for those who play a role in fighting against Covid-19 in Indonesia,” said Tony.

BCA strives to distribute aid evenly throughout the country. Since last March, BCA has been distributing aid to various parties. A number of ventilators and other medical equipments had been donated to several hospitals. Previously, BCA had also made a donation through crowd funding BenihBaik.com. As of now, BCA has donated almost Rp13 billion for Covid-19 mitigation measures.

“We will continue our efforts in order to support the handling and suppression of Covid-19 growth rate in Indonesia, in line with the assistance that we provide to the affected communities. We hope that the tremendous we have made together can help Indonesia to recover to how it was,” Tony concluded.
