Partnering with Indro Warkop and 'Agak Laen' Comedians, BCA Encourages the Public to Stay Vigilant Against Fraud Schemes

Jakarta, December 6, 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) reaffirms its commitment to educating the public to remain vigilant against various fraud schemes. In collaboration with Indro Warkop and the "Agak Laen" comedy group—featuring Bene Dion, Boris Bokir, Indra Jegel, and Oki Rengga—BCA introduces an educational campaign “Kasih tau ke yang lain untuk Don’t Know? Kasih No! saat ketemu penipuan yang Agak Laen”. The public can watch this video on the Solusi BCA YouTube channel starting December 6, 2024.

Data from Avast shows that around 90% of threats to digital service users are social engineering crimes. Along with the development of technology, fraud also continues to evolve in increasingly 'different' ways, such as AI-based voice fraud, fake online social gatherings, fake QRIS, fake concert tickets, and fake bills. and the public to consistently adhere to the principle of ‘Kalau Don’t know? BCA Director Santoso stated, “BCA realizes that increasingly massive fraud cases cannot be fought individually. It takes a collective effort to fight the various type of fraud that continue to evolve. Therefore, we never tire of urging and educating customers to be careful and always protect personal data. If we encounter 'Agak Laen' fraud, our attitude must be the same, namely ‘Don’t Know? Kasih No!’. Then, don't forget to share with others, so that we can all avoid various frauds. By collaborating with Indro Warkop and the comics group 'Agak Laen', we hope that this latest educational video is not only entertaining, but also easily understood by all customers and the public.”

“Penipuan Makin Agak Laen, Kalau Don’t Know? Kasih No!” also invites people to share the ”Don't Know? Kasih No!” message to those closest to them, such as family, friends, and coworkers. BCA hopes that more people will be protected and avoided from increasingly ‘agak laen’ frauds

The principle of “Don't Know? Love No!” emphasizes the importance of always thinking before acting. Customers are urged not to immediately trust and provide personal information to unknown parties, whether by telephone, e-mail, or social media. Last but not least, BCA also encourages customers and the public to keep up to date with information related to the latest fraud from trusted sources, one of which is from the link bca.id/awasmodus.

As part of BCA's commitment to customer safety education, the Bank has previously presented the “Nurut Apa Kata Mama” video series, as an innovative way to deliver educational messages. In addition, BCA also held the “Tolak dengan Anggun” campaign, which invites the public to reject all forms of social engineering fraud, and “Don't Know? Kasih No!” which invites the public to be critical and reject various phishing scams.
