Jakarta, 14 October 2024 – More than 1,000 social media posts enlivened the #BuktiBaktiku online competition organized by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) from August 15 - September 15, 2024. This competition aimed to encourage participants to inspire one another and spread a positive influence to a broader community. BCA awarded three main winners with the most inspiring stories and 20 favorite winners.
After the launch of #BuktiBaktiBCA campaign, BCA invited the public to share their acts of service through #BuktiBaktiku competition. Lasting for a month, thousands of participants joined this competition. The participants’ ‘Bukti Bakti’ (act of service) highlighted inspiring experiences and stories of creating positive impacts in various fields, including education, health, community empowerment, culture, and the environment.
"We are proud to see the enthusiasm of the public inspiring one another by showing evidence of their devotion in this #BuktiBaktiku movement. We believe this campaign serves as a platform for individuals to show their contributions. This movement aims to show how even the smallest acts of service can bring significant change, especially when done consistently and collectively. The #BuktiBaktiku competition has become a momentum to invite the public to play an active role in creating a legacy of service together because even the smallest good deeds can grow into lasting contributions," explained BCA Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn.
The winners of the #BuktiBaktiku competitions were announced by BCA Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn, along with Bakti BCA Ambassador Nicholas Saputra via live streaming on the Instagram accounts @GoodLifeBCA and @nicholassaputra, as well as TikTok @BankBCA, on Saturday (10/12). The main winners were selected based on the competition's terms and conditions, alignment with Bakti BCA’s values, the quality and creativity of visual content and storytelling, and the impact of the acts of service shown. The main winners received an iPhone 15 and Bakti BCA merchandise, while the favorite winners received Bakti BCA merchandise. The complete list of winners can be accessed at bca.id/buktibaktiku.
Among all the inspiring stories submitted, the main winners—Ann Fauziah (@kitten.caine), Oessella Benawar (@oessella), dan Litha Kusma Wardhani (@lithacil9)—were recognized for their unique stories and a spirit that aligned with Bakti BCA’s values.
For example, Ann's story inspired the judges with her passion and ideas about a sustainable lifestyle to preserve the environment. Ann has consistently worked with the community she built to nurture a social enterprise focused on upcycling. Meanwhile, Litha touched hearts with her life story, which led her to become a successful creativepreneur who engages children. Since her college days, Litha has been driven to dedicate herself to education for children, helping them build self-confidence and understand how to plan their dreams from an early age. Lastly, Oessella’s creativity as a children's art teacher, who has expanded her wings to become an MSME entrepreneur in traditional cuisine, was deemed inspiring in the realm of entrepreneurship.
Bakti BCA Ambassador Nicholas Saputra was also involved in selecting the winners of the #BuktiBaktiku competition. "The #BuktiBaktiku competition proves that anyone can contribute to their surroundings anytime, anywhere. Although the impact may not appear instantly, this spirit of service can spread to many people, eventually leading to significant change. I highly appreciate every individual participant in the #BuktiBaktiku competition for the good contributions they have made, and hope these positive stories don't stop here but continue to be shared," said Nicholas Saputra.
For the past few decades, Bakti BCA has been a testament to BCA’s commitment to making a positive impact on various aspects of community life, including education, health, environment, and culture. Several flagship programs have been implemented by BCA to strengthen the company’s legacy of service in building a better Indonesia. In the education pillar (Bakti Pendidikan), BCA strives to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian society through programs like the Beasiswa Bakti BCA (Bakti BCA Scholarship), Sekolah Bakti BCA, BCA Berbagi Ilmu, disability empowerment, and financial literacy education. Through the community empowerment pillar (Desa Bakti BCA and Bakti UMKM), BCA harnesses village potential by developing tourism villages and enhancing human resources, thereby improving economic capabilities and enabling villages to grow independently. To date, BCA has established 26 Desa Bakti BCA and several MSME training programs, such as the Indonesia Go Export MSME training, halal certification workshops for MSMEs, and coffee plantation revitalization programs.
Lastly, BCA is also active in ecosystem preservation through the environmental pillar (Bakti Lingkungan) with various initiatives supporting the government, including orangutan rehabilitation and release, Student Goes to Nature, sea turtle conservation, tree planting, and plastic waste management programs in collaboration with Plasticpay.
