Jakarta, 20 March 2024 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has established a strategic partnership with Lembaga Amil Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah Nahdlatul Ulama (NU Care-LAZISNU) to fulfill customers' needs in making donations and zakat through mobile banking services. This collaboration is a manifestation of BCA's commitment to meet the diverse needs of customers, including in sharing kindness to others.
The signing ceremony between LAZISNU and BCA was attended by BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja and PBNU Chairman K.H. Yahya Cholil Staquf on Tuesday (19/3). The event was also attended by BCA Director John Kosasih, BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono, PBNU Secretary General K.H. Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), PBNU Chairman K.H. Chairul Saleh Rasyid, and LAZISNU Chairman Ali Hasan Al Bahar (Habib Ali). Through this collaboration, customers can easily donate and pay zakat through the "Lifestyle" feature in the BCA mobile application.
BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja said, "As an archipelago country, from Sabang to Merauke with a population of 260-270 million, and the majority of whom are Nahdliyin, to be able to donate or give zakat, infaq, sadaqah. With this collaboration, Nahdliyin can now make zakat, infaq and sadaqah payments anytime and anywhere, simply by accessing the Lifestyle feature on BCA mobile. I also believe that the zakat, infaq and sadaqah managed by LAZISNU will be distributed accurately, thus helping many people in need."
The collaboration between BCA and the non-profit organization owned by Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) also reflects their consistency in innovating in the current digital era, including to facilitate the needs of the community in fulfilling their charitable obligations to others. Moreover, the majority of Indonesia's population are millennials and gen-Z, the digitally savvy young generation.
PBNU Chairman K.H. Yahya Cholil Staquf or often called Gus Yahya welcomed this collaboration. "Thank you to BCA, Mr. Jahja, and the leadership for their collaboration so far. We see that BCA's collaboration with LAZISNU is one of the most progressive. This is proven by what we are about to launch today, which is the integration or adoption of LAZISNU's zakat, infaq and sadaqah service features into BCA's digital platform. I think this is important because it is a collaboration that is truly systematic and structural," Gus Yahya explained.
For information, this digital zakat, infaq and sadaqah payment innovation is part of the BCA and PBNU collaboration agreement that was signed in May 2023. The purpose of the collaboration agreement is to organize community empowerment in the fields of education, social, environment, and economy, to the provision of financial services.
Previously, BCA in collaboration with PBNU has held a number of programs, such as the provision of worship equipment to the community, the Qur'an in braille for the disabled, medical equipment assistance to Hasyim Asy'ari Hospital Jombang and Arafah Islamic Hospital Rembang, to compensation for people in need.

- Confirm the zakat and click 'OK'
- Input m-BCA PIN
- Zakat is successful

- Open and login BCA mobile
- Choose 'Lifestyle' feature
- Click on the 'Donate' menu
- Enter the donation amount
- Choose the donation channeling institution 'NU Care-LAZISNU' 5.
- Choose the type of donation
- Check the donation information then click 'Pay Now'
- Confirm the donation and click 'OK'
