Jakarta, 16 March 2024 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has been nominated the world’s strongest banking brand by 'Brand Finance'. Brand Finance is the world's leading independent consultant for brand valuation strategy and measurement.
Referring to the "Top 500 Banking Brands" report from 'Brand Finance' released in March 2024, BCA ranks first on the list of strongest banking brands. BCA was ranked among 500 other top global banking brands from the United States (US), Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Brand Finance, established in 1996, recorded that BCA had the highest Brand Strength Index (BSI) score among other banking brands in the world, with a score of 93.8 out of 100. In the report from the London, UK-based organization, BCA also scored an AAA+ brand rating.
Several other global banks in the "Top 10 Global by Brand Strength Index" list compiled by 'Brand Finance' included ICBC and Bank of China from China, First National Bank and Capitec Bank from South Africa, Equity Bank and Kenya Commercial Bank from Kenya, and Vietcombank from Vietnam.
Additionally, there is also Banca Transilvania from Romania. Meanwhile, Brand Finance also measures the brand strength of leading US banks such as Bank of America and Wells Fargo.
"On average, Asian and African banking brands have the most brand strength in the Brand Finance study. This is largely due to both continents’ strong national banking players in their respective markets. The Asian group is led by BCA, which is the strongest brand among the Top 500 Banking Brands, with a BSI score of 93.8 and a rating of AAA+," wrote 'Brand Finance' in its report.
Brand Finance uses the term "brand strength" to measure overall brand health, reflecting a brand's position in the hearts and minds of customers and the wider market. The measurement uses relevant key performance indicators, both in emotional and rational aspects.
