Promoting the Competence of Financial Sector Practitioners, BCA Supports e-Learning ACI FMA Indonesia

Jakarta, 7 February 2017 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is committed to promote the role and competence of Indonesian financial sector practitioners. One of the forms of this commitment is the signed agreement with the ACI The Financial Markets Association of Indonesia (ACI FMA Indonesia) to support the production and procurement of E-Learning modules on Treasury Products, namely Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Fixed Income, Derivative Product, Regulation and Code of Conduct to create highly professional practitioners in financial market sector.

Attending the event to sign the agreement on the procurement of E-Learning assisting modules, President Director of BCA, Jahja Setiaatmadja, Director of BCA, Rudy Susanto, and Chairman of ACI FMA Indonesia, Branko Windoe, at Menara BCA, Jakarta, Tuesday (07/02).

“ACI FMA Indonesia has the key role as a platform for professional finance practitioners to expand their network and share their knowledge. Therefore, BCA truly expects the sponsorship cooperation in production & procurement of E-Learning could help create highly professional market players and favorable financial market atmosphere in keeping with international standards,” said Jahja.

ACI The Financial Markets Association is a non-profit global association with no political affiliations, truly dedicated to financial market and professionals. ACI FMA now has 13,000 internasional members from approximately 64 countries, with representatives in Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and America. ACI FMA has been actively participating in Indonesia since 1982, and successfully hosted the 55th ACI World Congress, which was held on 26-30 April 2016 and aimed at promoting the potential financial market industry in Indonesia.

“With the utilization of E-Learning ACI FMA Indonesia, financial market practitioners will have the opportunity to get the latest information on product knowledge related to Treasury, Regulation and Market Best Practices, as well as challenges that comes with the constantly-changing domestic and global markets. Furthermore, ACI FMA Indonesia also offers accredited certification for market practitioners in the financial sector as part of its solution in creating high-quality finance professionals in Indonesia,” added Jahja. 

Through this cooperation, BCA provides sponsorship through the production of E-Learning modules on Treasury products, including banking regulations and market best practices, which comprises code of conduct for financial market sector. In the current globalization era, financial market activities have increasingly involved open and cross-border communities. It is expected that the E-Learning ACI FMA Indonesia will be useful not only to finance professionals, but also to educate people about general information on banking regulation and financial market.

“Through this cooperation, we are hoping to assist ACI FMA Indonesia in their efforts to disseminate the code of conduct that applies in the financial sector. Code of conduct is a crucial part of the sustainability of a financial institution, and it is highly important in maintaining trust among financial services companies and people in general. In this regard, the certification issued through E-Learning ACI FMA is expected to contribute in the creation of a far more professional financial industry in line with international standards,” said Jahja closing his remarks.
