Bandung, 24 February 2018 – The festivity of BCA’s 61st anniversary still continues through various programs and activities, one of which is a program to support the development of education and improving human resource quality in Indonesia. The program is demonstrated through a Leadership Training for students of Bandung Insititute of Technology (ITB) and Padjajaran Univeristy (Unpad), which takes place on 24-25 Ferbruary 2018.
Attending to open the training was Hendri Darmin, Head of Supporting Operations Regional I, Sandro Mihradi, Chairman of Student Affairs Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Wawan Hermawan, Director of Academic and Student Affairs, Saturday (24/02). The training, which was held on 24-25 February 2018, aimed at preparing select accomplished students from ITB and Unpad to enter the increasingly competitive working world.
Hendri said, “BCA sees that students need to learn about leadership, even when they’re still students, considering they will soon become the future leaders. The training initiated by BCA is one of BCA’s efforts to provide value added to ITB and Unpad students as well as building integrity that makes a great leader.”
“The program is one of BCA expressions of gratitude that has existed in Indonesian society for 61 years. It is also a form of BCA’s concerns of Indonesian younger generation that aimed to help them to recognize and explore their potential that can be developed in pursuing career in working world,” added Hendri.
To equip the students with the training, BCA had involved speakers from Qando Qoaching as the facilitator of the training. Over the two-day training, students will be provided with various ways of building leadership capacity in managing self and tasks, building effective teamwork, and managing differences within the team, developing modern leaedership competencies that adhere to the right principles and processes, as well as to instil love towards the nation and self-motivation in order to give the best teamwork without conflicts. A day earlier, the Bakti BCA scholarships grantees also attended a mentoring session with the management of BCA that serves as a means of personal development and also means of interaction between the grantees.
“We hope this leadership training and mentoring can provide value added for the students of ITB and Unpad, especially for Bakti BCA scholarship grantees, so that they can compete in the working world whether as professionals or compentent enterpreneurs who also provide jobs in Indonesia,” Hendri concluded.
