Lombok, 8 April 2021 – MSME businesses have received continued support from various parties to stay afloat and rise. As a series of the Indonesian Creative Work – the Exotic Lombok campaign, this time, BCA collaborates with Blibli and Gojek to present a coaching series through inspirational education webinars for MSMEs to revive their businesses. This program is still part of the Proud of Indonesian Goods National Movement under the theme Indonesian Creative Work – the Exotic Lombok.
The webinar, “OBRAL – Obrolan Bangga Lokal, Digitalisasi UMKM” (loosely translates to Proud of Local Talk, Digitalized MSMEs), is held from 6 April – 7 April 2021, attended by Executive Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility of BCA Inge Setiawati, Head of KCU BCA Cakranegara Indrawanto Sahama, Blibli’s representative Fransisca Oki Riang, Gojek’s representative Ni Luh Putu Desy Mustikayani, MUI’s representative Santi Meitasari. The webinar was followed by more than 100 select MSMEs deserving of BCA’s appreciation.
“As a form of consistency and continued support for MSME businesses, this time, BCA will support the implementation of the Proud of Indonesian Goods National Movement in Lombok. Apart from utilizing BCA branch offices and promotion channels nationwide to support the Proud of Indonesian Goods National Movement, BCA also actively aids MSMEs through inspirational webinars that will be held today and tomorrow,” said Indrawanto Sahama.
In the webinar, MSMEs will learn about the importance of digitalization amid limited mobility. Relevant topics about setting up a business such as financial literacy, halal certification, selling online, and managing food hygiene. On this occasion, to commemorate BCA’s 64th anniversary, BCA has also chosen 64 best MSMEs to get halal certification for free. This is an attractive opportunity for MSME businesses to develop their food business, thanks to the certification.
For additional information, the Proud of Indonesian Goods National Movement program under the theme of the Indonesian Creative Work – the Exotic Lombok was initiated by Bank Indonesia. BCA has contributed to the success of the program by training and mentoring 20 leading MSMEs in NTB to participate in the Bangga Lokal campaign, as well as helping with marketing programs through price discounts on e-commerce. Furthermore, BCA also facilitates MSMEs to promote their products at BCA branches in NTB.
“We hope that the webinar program can become a catalyst for MSME to develop a digitalized business, especially for MSMEs in Lombok. Hopefully, the recovery of the tourism and economy sector can truly be realized soon, which in turn help revive MSME businesses,” Indrawanto Sahama concluded.
