Jakarta, 17 December 2020 – PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) has made another remarkable feat. At the end of 2020, BCA won two awards from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Distributing Partner with the Best Performance 2019 and Retail SBSN Distributing Partner with the Best Performance 2020.
The award is a testament to BCA’s achievement and optimum performance, supporting the government in selling retail SBN. Deputy President Director of BCA Suwignyo Budiman received the award virtually from the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani at the Investor Gathering DJPPR (Directorate General of Budget Financing and Risk Management) on Thursday (17/2).
Also attending the event was Executive Vice President of Wealth Management of BCA Adrianus Wagimin, Director General of Budget Financing and Risk Management Luky Alfirman and Head of Fiscal Policy Agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance Febrio Nathan Kacaribu. This year, the investor gathering carries the theme “Synergy in Supporting State Budget Financing for the Handling of Covid-19 Pandemic and Economic Recovery”.
“It is an honor for BCA to be trusted as an official Distributing Partner appointed by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance. We are grateful for the two awards given to BCA. This resonates with our corporate vision to continue to support government programs. Going forward, BCA will continue to promote education and information about the benefits of investments to the public, including the younger generation,” said Suwignyo Budiman.
For your information, in 2020, BCA has sold six series of retail SBN, with total sales of more than Rp15 trillion. Starting from the SBR009, which was sold at BCA for more than Rp900 billion, and then continued with the SR012 in March 2020 where BCA notched record sales of Rp1.9 trillion. The ORI017 generated almost Rp4.5 trillion in sales revenue, while in September 2020, BCA also managed to record sales of SR013 reaching more than Rp4 trillion, with nearly 30% of transactions were made via WELMA. In October, the ORI018 reached sales of approximately Rp2.6 trillion. Lastly, in November 2020, BCA sold a record Rp1.7 trillion of the ST007.
“Looking at the public’s interest in investment and the increase in customer numbers who make bonds and mutual funds investment at BCA, we are motivated to improve services and promote innovation, including through the development of the WELMA app. The award is a token of appreciation for us to always stand by the customers and serve their needs for investment and protection as a whole,” concluded Adrianus Wagimin.
