Belitung, 28 February 2020 – Trending and instagrammable photo spots and unique scenery have become a major attraction for tourism. These two things can be found at Bukit Peramun Belitung. This BCA’s Assisted Village was inaugurated some time ago and historically famous for many medicinal plants that can be found in the area.
In its 63rd anniversary, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) gave another surprise to the public, especially travellers who enjoy unique and instagrammable sightseeing. BCA & the operator of Bukit Peramun launched an application that is available to facilitate visitors to enjoy the beauty of Bukit Peramun, Belitung.
Attending the launching of PeramunHill Virtual Guide Application was Deputy President Director of BCA BCA Armand W. Hartono, Deputy Regent of Belitung Ishak Meirobie, Executive Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of BCA Inge Setiawati, Head of BCA Regional Office VI Widy Tarmizi, Executive Vice President of Corporate Secretariat & Corporate Communication of BCA Hera F. Haryn, Head of KCU BCA Tanjung Pandan Rustam, and Chairman of Komunitas Arsel Adie Darmawan at Bukit Peramun, Belitung (28/02).
Armand said that the era of industry 4.0 today affects different sectors, including tourism. The millennial generation, which makes up the majority of Indonesia’s demographics, has encouraged us to provide ease and practicality while on vacation. Therefore, to realize millennial tourism, BCA launched Peramun Hills application to facilitate travelers.
On the app, users can easily download it on Play Store. The app presents various features aimed at providing an overview of nature sightseeing in Bukit Peramun and a virtual guide for exploration while in Bukit Peramun. Furthermore, still on the same occasion, other apps were also launched including Virtual Zoo, KEPO (Kenali Pohon – Identify Trees), Virtual Photo Spot and Online Map Navigation.
"These apps address the trend in the society today, especially for the Millennials and Gen Z generation, with a proclivity for digital lifestyle. Through the Peramun Hill app, visitors will be pampered with a virtual private guide while in Bukit Peramun, at their fingertips. On the other hand, the launching of this application serves as a manifestation of BCA’s participation in fulfilling its social responsibility to develop Bukit Peramun, so as to provide value added to the economy and promote the attractiveness of Indonesian tourism,” added Armand.
“BCA started the assisted village program in Bukit Peramun since 2018. As a first step, we facilitated several trainings, such as Service Excellence, Service Standards, Creative Selling Skill, and Golden Heart Leadership. Among others, in order to support facilities and infrastructures, we also made donations for the development of mushola (prayer room), digital information system, monuments/inscriptions, and most recently the hall construction for the people of Belitung. All supports, both material and non-material, are provided to support improved knowledge and skills of the village operators. As a result, they project more confidence while serving visitors,” explained Armand.
“The beauty found throughout the Bukit Peramun village in Belitung has attracted tourists to enjoy the natural beauty of Indonesia. We hope that the application can provide value added for travelers, especially in enhancing comfort and satisfaction in traveling. In addition, we also hope that Bukit Peramun Belitung can become favorite destination and contribute to increasing the value of tourism in Indonesia,” concluded Armand.
