Safety Guard Critical Cover (STAR), traditional annual health insurance which provides protection against Critical Illness and life with the following benefit details:
Insurance Benefits
Minor Critical Illness Diagnosis Benefit (58 Minor Critical Illness conditions) 25% Sum Assured, with claims up to 2x for different Diagnoses during the coverage period.
Major Critical Illness Diagnosis Benefit (77 Major Critical Illness conditions) 100% after deducting any previously paid benefits (if any) and Policy terminates.
Angioplasty Surgery Benefit 25% Sum Assured with a maximum of IDR 250 million.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Treatment Benefit 50% Sum Assured with a maximum of IDR 250 million, if The Insured is hospitalized in ICU for a minimum of 7 calendar days due to covered Critical Illness, the Insurer will pay.
Death Benefit 100% Sum Assured after deducting any previously paid benefits (if any).
No Claim Bonus Benefit 100% of the total Premium that has been paid (excluding Extra Premium), at the end of each 10-year period.

Risk and Exclusions
Risk
Claim is rejected if the insured event is caused by matters excluded in the Policy.
Unilateral cancellation by the Insurer due to Premium not being paid or failure to receive the Premiums by the Insurer until the Grace Period ends.
Policy cancellation by the Insurer if any statements or informations provided by the Policyholder are found to be inaccurate, or if there is evidence of fraud.
Exclusions
The Insurer shall not pay Minor Critical Illness Diagnosis Benefit, Major Critical Illness Diagnosis Benefit, Angioplasty Surgery Benefit, and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Treatment Benefit if the claims are caused by or related to:
Pre-Existing Conditions;
Mental and psychiatric disorders;
Conditions related to pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, abortion, including complications arising therefrom.
The Insurance shall not pay the Death Benefits if the claims are caused by or related to:
Pre-Existing Conditions;
Suicide or attempted suicide;
The Insurer’s involvement in actions that violate the law, negligence, and/or illegal activities, including insurance fraud committed by the parties with an interest in this insurance, whether actively or passively involved.

Terms and Conditions
Entry age of Policyholder: 21 – 65 years old (last birthday)
Entry age of Insured: 1 – 65 years old (last birthday)
The Policyholder and Insured are Indonesian Citizen (WNI).
Insured has been accepted and approved for the coverage through a risk selection process carried out by BCA Life.

Fees
Premiums can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually without any additional costs. The premium paid includes components of costs and commissions for the Bank.
The Premiums cost is determined based on the Sum Assured, the Insured’s age and gender.
Extra Premiums can be charged to the Insured based on health conditions, type of work, and/or hobbies.
FAQ
Will the Premium be adjusted every year? Yes, the Premium amount will be adjusted according to the Insured’s age on the Policy Anniversary.
Safety Guard Critical Cover (STAR) coverage period is 1 year. How to extend the Insurance Coverage? The Policy can be renewed as long as the Premium is paid by the Insured according to the information provided by the Insurer before Policy Anniversary until the Insured is 84 years old.
How long is the Waiting Period for Claims? Is it only valid in the first year? The Waiting Period is 80 calendar days from the Insurance Start Date or the Policy Reinstatement or date of the increase in Sum Assured, whichever occurs last (except for benefits related to accidental death).
For the No Claim Bonus Benefit, is it paid by the Insurer to the Policyholder's account automatically (without claim submission)? The Insurer will inform the Policyholder regarding the availability of No Claim Bonus Benefit through communications channel (such as WhatsApp, Email, or any other media used by BCA Life). The Policyholder needs to submit a claim using the provided form, within 60 calendar days since the notification is received.
If the Insured has already claimed benefits from the Safety Guard Critical Cover (STAR) product, does the Insured still has the potential to get a No Claim Bonus Benefit? The Insured still has the potential to get a No Claim Bonus Benefit, if there is no claim for the next 10-year period.
